5 Wedding Registry Myths...DEBUNKED!
Updated: Jun 21, 2021
Myth 1: You need China.
But do you really? Will you be hosting fancy dinner parties? If so, knock yourself out and put your favorite China set at the top of your registry, but if not, it probably isn’t a necessity.
Myth 2: You should only register for practical household items.
Sure a blender, mixer, and a couple of gardening tools may be nice, but have you had your eye on that slushie machine to keep your wine slushies nice and cold during your summer picnics? Don’t be shy, add it to your registry! You never know who might get it for you.
Myth 3: You have to register at multiple places.
FALSE! Many people choose to register with just one place. Amazon has almost anything you can imagine and is the perfect place to register for all types of items.
Myth 4: Don’t register for cash.
Registering for cash has become less socially acceptable, but is still totally viable. Include a nice message explaining how you will use the money, whether it be for your future home, honeymoon, or even put into a savings account for your children or even retirement.
Myth 5: Expensive gifts make you look greedy.
No way! Many people want to get you expensive gifts, but can’t afford it on their own. This allows many people to come together on a group gift and chip in on the things you really want.
